MA & PA Railroad: Hyde Station
It used to be called Hyde, then maybe Hyde's, and now Hydes. Some locals insist it's still Hyde, but since there have never been more than a dozen locals to begin with, it will probably remain Hydes. There used to be a little cannery next door, you can read about that here.
We took the top picture, of course, the bottom photo was found by a friend at a junk shop.

Chasing the MA & PA Railroad around York, Pennsylvania
O.k., so it's not the Maryland and Pennsylvania Railroad anymore (MPA), it's The York Railway (YRC), but it will always be the MA&PA to me. And anyway, there's still plenty of old MPA remnants to be found in town, not to mention the fact that the York Railway, part of the Genesee & Wyoming (which also merged the MA&PA with Yorkrail) group of shortlines, is a great little railroad too.
MA & PA Railroad: Whiteford Station
No, not the big red building in the back, the little grey shack in the front. The station was built in 1892 for the Baltimore and Lehigh Railroad, one of the Maryland & Pennsylvania's many predecessors. Whiteford was known as Cambria until around 1906.
